If I wanted a larger caliber National Match 1911 I would consider it as well. The Delta Elite 10MM is similar to the Colt M1911A1 pattern with the rounded mainspring housing and relief cuts around the trigger guard. Among the 10mm enthusiasts, it is one of the more sought after guns (this side of the Bren Ten). Some things to consider depending on what you want it for would be ammo costs and availability, do you already have and shoot 10mm, or do you already have and collect Colts or 1911's? If I wanted to add to my Colt 1911 collection I might consider it if it was such a bargain. The Colt Delta Elite 10MM is probably one of the sweetest 1911 style pistols ever made. Too many variables for me to recommend to buy it or not, but they are well built pistols. Colt Delta Elite, 10mm, stainless, this one also fired very little, very good shape. I know where there is a stainless model like yours that is NIB, unfired, and he is asking a thousand dollars more than what yours is going for, so if yours is in excellent condition it may be a good buy. Is the one you're looking at stainless, blued, or hybrid? These are generally limited edition or small run pistols. Set up properly, the design does very well, and is also relatively comfortable to shoot. There are those who say that the 1911 design cannot handle the 10mm auto cartridge, but that is just not true. National Match means it is a target accurized pistol with adjustable sights. Colt has recently re-introduced their Delta Elite 10mm auto pistol, giving shooters another choice in a 1911 style 10mm pistol.
